The Demonic Neutral Position Of Some Rivers State People In The Biafra Agitation by Russell Bluejack

Some of our Rivers State brothers and sisters smile and celebrate when Biafra protesters are brutally exterminated by the military. Some of us even say the Biafrans are after OUR RESOURCES. Some of us say they should take their agitation to their states and leave us alone. A certain radio programme had a caller who said if these Biafra protesters don't leave Rivers State, OUR BOYS would go after them (his boys, not ours). The unfortunate comments and abhorrence shown by our Rivers people go on and on. Let me address these issues below. I crave your indulgence.
First, what does "Biafra" mean? Is it limited to Igbo enclaves? Grapevine has it that what we call the BIGHT OF BONNY today used to be the BIGHT OF BIAFRA. This historical assertion is debatable, since the account must survive the crucible of philosophy of history. However, I make bold to say that its existence in history is itself a skosh of truth. Why would historians mention it if it were not so? If the word ever existed in our region in the past, then all those Rivers State people regionizing the struggle should visit the archives.

Next, it does seem that most of us in Rivers State have lost touch with the history of statehood in Nigeria. May I take you guys down memory lane a bit? Brothers and sisters, what we call South-South and Southeast were created by colonial masters as prodrome to eventual decimation of our unity and solidarity as old Eastern Nigeria. Yes, in the time of yore, we were one INDIVISIBLE and INVINCIBLE people. Ours was a collective will and formidable determination that could not be broken. They created the boundaries that exist between us, and shamefully, it has worked, as we see one another as strangers. Too bad! Every time you see an IPOB protest/solidarity walk staged on any Niger Delta soil as a TRESPASS, the North wins. Yes, every time we feel divided and different than/from our Igbo brothers and sisters, the North wins. Is someone thinking? We call northerners fools, but they are wining.
Lastly, those Rivers' indigenes that proscribe all forms of IPOB movement in Port Harcourt should answer the following questions:
Who buys our lands?
Who contributes most to Rivers State revenue?
Who rents our houses?
Who buys our properties?
Who rents those kiosk-sized shops at throat-cutting costs?
Whose properties did we criminally acquire after the Civil War?
Who are those that own the companies that employ our youths in Rivers State?
Who are those that worked with us to ensure that our Governor Wike defeat Amaechi?
I am sure you all know the answer - the Igbo people, of course! Let us see what we achieved without the support of the Igbo people:
*Adaka Boro fought alone and died alone, without succeeding in having the Kaiama dream;
*Dr. Kenule Saro-Wiwa was guillotined and buried like a commoner by the brutal Nigerian Armed Forces here in Port Harcourt, without achieving the Ogoni Kingdom; and
*Senator (Dr.) Obi Wali was butchered like an animal in an abattoir for fighting for the Ikwerre.
Friends and brothers, I am even more Rivers than most of you, since I am maternally and paternally from here; yet, I see things clearly. Don't forget the Igbo people fought the combined Armed Forces of Nigeria and British forces for years, without our assistance. Don't forget that Britain had to intervene by starving the Biafra force, which is a criminal act of war I still urge our Biafra nation to take up against Britain, in order for Nigeria to win that Civil War.
Conclusively, if Biafrans own shops, houses, companies, and support our government with revenues, then they have the untrammelled right to protest here in Rivers State. Those of you who still have reservation, I am sure you will rent your shops, buy your land, establish your own companies, and contribute to the IGR of Rivers State Government when Biafra comes through. The time to think is now. Will you rather partner with the North? Do the North need you? What the North has always wanted from you is your oil. Be wise.

5 Ways To Identify an Efulefu. No 3 Will Shock You!

An Igbo Efulefu is a man who does not know his identity or who is ashamed of his identity. For instance, your names are Okeke, Okafor, Okorie, Okonkwo, Nwoke, Nwafor, Nwankwo, Nworie, Mgbeke, Mgbankwo, Mgbafor, Okorafor, Okoronkwo, Okereke, Okoye, Amaechi, Odili, Okoro, Okechukwu, Ogochukwu, Ugochukwu, Olisa, Olisah, Oliseh.........but you say you are not Igbo that you are from the South-South or from the Niger-Delta, you are an efulefu. Sunday Oliseh is an efulefu because neither Niger-Delta nor South-South is African.
Please, which other tribe on this planet apart from the Igbo tribe has four market days of Orie, Afor, Nkwo and Eke?

2. If you prefer names imposed on you by your white slave masters to your original names, YOU ARE AN EFULEFU.
What was your identity before the arrival of the white men? That, is your true identity which you should be proud of.

3. On another level, an Efulefu is a man who works against the interests of his own people (aka saboteur) or a man who prefers to pitch his tent with the enemies of his own people. Joe Igbokwe my brother from Nnewi is an efulefu.
All "my mama say I be Igbo", are efulefus. These are people who don't know the way to their Igbo villages.

4. If (as an Igbo man) after watching Amnesty International's video showing where Buhari ordered the execution of innocent Igbo men and women praying on a secondary school field, and you still support Buhari and Northern brutality against your own flesh and blood, you are not only an efulefu but have innocent people’s blood on your hands.

5. Finally, please kindly show us South-South, North-North, East-East or West-West on this attached compass.

BIAFRA: Today Is Philip Effiong's 91st Posthumous Birthday

Philip Efiong (also spelled Effiong, 18 November 1925 – 6 November 2003) was the first Vice President and the second President of the now defunct Republic of Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970.
Today Is Philip Effiong's 91st Posthumous Birthday. Philip Efiong (also spelled Effiong, 18 November 1925 – 6 November 2003) was the first Vice President and the second President of the now defunct Republic of Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970.
Born in Ibiono Ibom in present-day Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, on 18 November 1925, Philip Effiong joined the Nigerian Armed Forces on 28 July 1945. He quickly rose through the ranks until on 11 January 1956 he received the Queen's Commission following his officer cadet training at Eaton Hall in Chester. England later commissioned him for duty in the Rhine, West Germany. He was then transferred to the Nigeria Army Ordnance Corps; then to England for further training after a peace-keeping stint in the Republic of Congo in 1961. He was Nigeria's first Director of Ordnance. His son is his namesake.
Efiong became Chief of General Staff of Biafra under Head of State, Odumegwu Ojukwu during the Nigeria-Biafra war.
The tactics of the Nigerian military during the war included economic blockade and deliberate destruction of agricultural land. Even before the war, the area was net importer of food, depending on income from its oil fields to feed its populace.
With the blockade cutting off oil revenue and agricultural destruction reducing food production, the result was mass dislocation and starvation of the populace. Two to three million people are thought to have died in the conflict, mostly through starvation and illness.
When Biafra's military resistance collapsed, Ojukwu fled to Côte d'Ivoire.
Effiong became Biafra Head Of State
Efiong assumed leadership in this situation of turmoil, starvation, and collapse. He became Head of State of Biafra on 8 January 1970 and on 12 January announced surrender.
Effiong's Speech to Gowon
On January 15, 1970 at Dodan Barracks in Lagos, in the presence of General Gowon, Effiong announced the end of the Biafran conflict.
"I, Major-General Phillip Efiong, Officer Administering the Government of the Republic of Biafra, now wish to make the following declaration: That we affirm that we are loyal Nigerian citizens and accept the authority of the Federal Military Government of Nigeria. That we accept the existing administrative and political structure of the Federation of Nigeria. That any future constitutional arrangement will be worked out by representatives of the people of Nigeria. That the Republic of Biafra hereby ceases to exist."[1]
At the time of the surrender, Effiong believed that the situation was hopeless and that prolonging the conflict would have led only to the further destruction and starvation of the people of Biafra. At that time Effiong said, "I am convinced now that a stop must be put to the bloodshed which is going on as a result of the war. I am also convinced that the suffering of our people must be brought to an immediate end."[2]
Nnaemeka L. Aneke wrote, "General Efiong’s handling of Biafra’s surrender is one of the most tactical and devoted maneuvers ever seen on the Nigerian scene. Those who do not appreciate the depth of it may not have appreciated what was at stake as Biafra capitulated."[3] Many observers had expected wholesale retribution at war's end

RELIGION OF PEACE: Muslims Brutally Beat TV Chef in Sweden Because he “Looked like Mr. Trump”

Sweden: Muslims brutally beat TV chef because he “looked like Mr. Trump” By Robert Spencer, November 12, 2016:
Because, you know, Trump is supposedly going to victimize innocent Muslims, and so in protest of the possibility of that happening, innocent and peaceful Muslims are justified in victimizing innocent people. Got it?

“Swedish TV chef brutally beaten by ‘Muslim men’ because he ‘looked like Mr. Trump,” FriaTider , November 12, 2016 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Inrikes. Anders Vendel, a famous chef, restaurant owner and TV star from Malmö, Sweden, was savagely beaten by three “Muslim” men because they thought he looked like “Mr. Trump”, Sydsvenskan reports.
In a Facebook post that was later removed, Mr. Vendel – who is a well-known anti-Racist figure and a star of the TV show “The Struggle of the Chefs”– described the brutal assault that took place early Saturday morning in a late-night fast food restaurant in Malmö.
“I am in the emergency room as of a couple of hours ago awaiting X-rays. I was beaten up by three Muslim men between the ages of 25-35. They thought I bore a resemblance to Mr. Trump.”
“Two of the men grabbed my arms from behind and the third one started punching me all over the face. I tried to defend myself with my legs. After receiving about 20 fists to my face, I fell down to the floor. All three then started kicking me as much as they could in my face and head. I now have a broken nose, bumps, a clogged eye, mouth, lips and jaw. Even a broken right thumb,” he continued.
Anna Göransson, press officer at the police control center in Malmö, confirmed to Sydsvenskan that the attack had taken place.
“The plaintiff was visiting a fast food restaurant and a stranger came up and started to hassle him. This resulted in a scuffle, and the unknown man hit the plaintiff with clenched fists. He fell to the floor and was kicked and received injuries to his face. He then was helped to the hospital,” she said.
Anders Vendel is one of the most famous people in the restaurant business in Malmö. He is known for having run the exclusive restaurant “Sture”. He sold that restaurant last spring and now works at “The More Bistro”..

You should've call Buhari to warn your men for killing innocent people, not to warn me for protecting Ekiti lives - Fayose replies Miyetti Allah

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, yesterday exploded in anger in reaction to the threat of reprisal attack by the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), an umbrella body of herdsmen who alleged that some of their cattle were killed recently.
While reacting to the governor’s inauguration of the Ekiti Grazing Law Enforcement , EGEM, recently, Miyetti AllaMarshalsh, had said in a statement on Saturday that the Federal Government must intervene in the inauguration of the marshals, which the herdsmen alleged had shot five of their cows, warning that: “before this incident develops into unquenchable inferno involving our members and Ekiti State government.”
In the statement signed by its spokesman, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, the group said: “Fayose unleashed the marshals against our members whose herds of cattle had gone to a stream at Agon bridge on Federal Polytechnic Road between the time of 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to quench their thirst on Friday, October 21 ,” claiming that “the vigilance group shot five cows and carted away the meat, but the herdsman was able to flee with the rest of his cattle.”
But Fayose dismissed Miyetti Allah’s claims as untrue and disclosed that the said five cows are alive and in custody of the state government.
Furious at the herdsmen’s threat, governor Fayose asked if the lives of cattle is more important than that of human beings, asking why did the group didn’t write the president when their colleagues were killing hundreds in Benue and Plateau states respectively. “Why didn’t Miyetti Allah that is now calling on President Mohammadu Buhari to warn me, the custodian of the mandate of Ekiti people warn its members when they were killing Nigerians and destroying farmlands? Are their cows more important than human lives?
“To us in Ekiti, lives of 5,000 cows cannot be equated with those of human beings that are being killed daily by herdsmen across the country. Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria should know that cattle farmers are not different from other farmers. If they want to rear cows in Ekiti, they should do so in accordance with the laws of the State. After all, law prohibiting sale and consumption of alcohol was made in Kano State and the law is being enforced while Sharia Law made in some States in the north is also being enforced.”
Fayose blamed the Federal Government on its silence on the development, saying: “Four days after this threat was issued against the government and people of Ekiti State by the Miyetti Allah, the federal government is yet to act in any manner that will disabuse the minds of Ekiti people, who believed that the federal government is in support of the threat.
“The silence of the federal government has no doubt further confirmed the insinuation that there is plot to give tacit support to the herdsmen to invade some border towns and villages in Ekiti State and cause chaos in the State so as to justify the evil agenda of declaration of a state of emergency on the State.”
The governor who recalled the herdsmen’s killing of hundreds in some parts of the country in the name of same reprisal attack, further said:
”Nigerians should be reminded that in May, this year, Myetti AllahCattle Breeders Association of Nigeria said openly that the reason for the killing of over 1,000 people in Benue State was the killing of over 800 cattle by Tiv youths. In other words, Miyetti Allah boldly told Nigerians that its members (herdsmen) killed over 1,000 Agatu people of Benue State because their cows were killed!
”Up till today, no one has been arrested for the massacre in Agatu in Benue State and now, Ekiti State and its people are being threatened by this same Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, and the federal government has pretended as if nothing was wrong.
He continued: ” From the words and antecedents of the Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, it is clear that they have assurance beyond their personal minds from the federal government to kill Nigerians in place of their cows. If not, by now, the man who signed that press statement, threatening the entire people of Ekiti State ought to have been arrested and questioned.
” Therefore, in view of the above, we wish to tell Nigerians and the entire world that in the event of any invasion of Ekiti State by killer herdsmen, the federal government should be held responsible.
”The herdsmen and those urging them on should also be informed that any attack on one Ekiti person is an attack on all Ekitis and we shall not sit back and allow our people to be killed under the guise of cattle rearing.
”In the event of federal government’s security agencies refusal to secure the lives and properties of Ekiti people, the people will have no option than to defend themselves. Our forefathers did same in the famous Kiriji War and we won’t mind doing the same now!”
The governor challenged Ekiti people to be on alert against any attack by herdsmen, saying: “I am, therefore, using this opportunity to put Ekiti people, especially residents of border towns in the State on red alert. Ekiti people must be prepared to defend their land against these Philistines whose attributes and characters are extremism, violence, bloodshed and destruction.”
He also reiterated his resolve on the grazing law he signed in the state: “For the avoidance of doubt, the Prohibition of Cattle and other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti State Bill, 2016 that was signed into law on August 29, 2016 remains in force.
” Therefore, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria should rather tell its members to comply with this law by seeking from the government designated land for grazing ranch, which the government is always willing to give.
”It is strange that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria kept silent when its members killed two people and injured several others in Oke Ako in Ekiti State. So strange that the same Miyetti Allah that defended the murder of over 1,000 Agatu people of Benue State and kept silent when herdsmen killed over 100 people killed in Enugu State and a traditional ruler was killed in Delta State suddenly found its voice when Ekiti State government decided to curb the murderous activities of its men.

BREAKING: Reps To Probe Killing of Biafrans, Others, Summon IGP

Nigeria's House of Representatives, yesterday, summoned the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Idris Ibrahim, to appear before its committees on Police Affairs and Human Rights over the renewed cases of extrajudicial killings in the country .

Specifically, the IGP is expected to give insight into various extrajudicial killings and, at the same time, suggest steps to prevent future occurrences.

This came few months after the House convened a public hearing on extrajudicial killings and other high profile murders and kidnappings across the country and condemned the recurring cases of extrajudicial killing of members of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) who staged a peaceful protest in the South East region.
IPOB and MASSOB are separatist organisations seeking the secession of former Eastern region from Nigeria.

The representatives also resolved to investigate the recent killings of four young people in Ekeki community in Bayelsa State, one of them a footballer with the 3SC Football Club of Ibadan, by the Nigeria Police Force/JTF.
According to a motion of urgent national importance, sponsored by the member representing Yenegoa/Kolokuma federal constituency, Douye Diri, the police/JTF officers had shot and killed four innocent Nigerians, including the footballer. Others killed were 17-year-old Innocent Kokorifa, a 30-year-old man referred to as Inyan and five-year-old Godsgift Oduku.

“In the last two weeks, the Nigerian Police Force, Bayelsa State, Command/ JTF had shot and killed four innocent Nigerians, namely Innocent Kokorifa, 17.
“Others are Izu Joseph, footballer with Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan; Inyan, 30, and Godsgift Oduku, a five-year-old girl.
“The trend, if not checked, may lead to a breakdown of law and order in a situation where the people will be forced to defend themselves from attacks from the very police who have been paid by the tax payers to protect them,” he noted.

ZOO KINGDOM: Former Kaduna State University lecturer, Dr John Danfulani remanded in prison for criticizing El-Rufai

A former lecturer with the Kaduna State University, Dr. John Danfulani, has been remanded in the Kaduna Prison for 12 days for criticizing the administrative style of Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
Danfulani had won at a lower court when charged by the El-Rufai government over a Facebook post.
The former lecturer in the department of political science of the state university, has been having a running battle with the state government over his persistence criticism of the administration of Governor Nasir El-rufai, an administration he worked for its emergence.
He was earlier arraigned in January 2016 before a Magistrate Court by the State’s Commissioner of Police over a Facebook post he was alleged to have made criticizing the state and federal government’s handling of economic issues.
He spent six days in prison before his bail application could be heard, but the case was subsequently struck out for lack of merit when it came up for hearing.
He later resigned from his lecturing job over what he termed as ‘harassment’.
But today, Wednesday, the Kaduna State Ministry of Justice filed a fresh case numbered: KDH/KAD/102c/16 against him at the State High Court, before Justice Bilkisu Mohammed.
In the ‘Notice to Prefer a Charge’, signed by both Bayero Dari and Abdullahi Isiaka for the Ministry of Justice, the state said that the criminal charges against Dr. Danfulani fell under section 417 and 418 of the Penal Code.
They went ahead to state that the alleged Facebook post he made on 28th December 2015, where he talked about fuel scarcity, high foreign exchange and a high number of out of school children in the north, sought to excite hatred and contempt against the people of Nigeria.
When the case came up for hearing Wednrsday, Dr. Danfulani, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.
But the Judge said he should be remanded in prison till the 7th of November, 2016, when she would be back from a ‘seminar’ to listen to the bail application.
Dr. Danfulani, who spoke to newsmen at the court premises before being taken to prison, said he was being persecuted for simply criticizing the activities of both the state and the federal government.
He added that the constitution of the federal government gave him the right to freely express his opinion on issues of governance that he was not comfortable with.

Trump Promises ‘New Deal for Black America’

Donald Trump called for a “new deal for black America” in a Wednesday afternoon address, as he works to bridge the gap he faces with the crucial voting bloc less than two weeks from Election Day.
Speaking in Charlotte, N.C., the GOP nominee criticized years of Democratic rule for leaving black America behind, and outlined his plan to help.
My “deal is grounded in three promises: safe communities, great education, and high-paying jobs,” Trump said, speaking off what appeared to be scripted remarks
“Whether you vote for me or not, I will be your greatest champion. We live in a very divided country and I will be your greatest champion.”
Trump called on voters to repudiate
and the Democrats in favor of change.
“American politics is caught in a time loop, we keep electing the same people over and over and over,” he said.
“Every day, I’m out on the trail proposing fresh solutions and new thinking. And every day, the same people, getting rich off our broken system, say we can’t change and we can’t try anything new, because it’s not good for them.”
The subdued and reverent beginning of his speech stood in sharp contrast to the fiery tack Trump usually takes at his campaign rallies, which are meant to inject his brand of politics directly into the veins of his supporters.
“I have a message for all the doubters in Washington: America’s future belongs to the dreamers, not the cynics and not the critics," he said.
“African-American citizens have sacrificed so much for our nation. They fought and died in every war since the Revolution and from the pews and the picket lines, they’ve lifted up the conscience of our country in the long march for civil rights. Yet too many African-Americans have been left behind.”
Trump called for incentives to move companies into blighted neighborhoods to bolster employment, help African-Americans get better access to credit and push cities to declare “blighted communities” disaster areas to help rebuild infrastructure.
He also said he'd support increasing the number of police officers in such areas, connecting a lack of officers to a rise in murder rate in major cities.
But while Trump’s call focused on removing “gang-members and criminal cartels,” he blamed Clinton for promoting a "war on police.” He did not mention the accusations of police brutality by minorities who feel that they are disproportionately targeted.
It’s not the first time Trump has made a direct appeal to black voters -- overtures first appeared in scripted speeches in the late summer.
He's struggled to gain traction with minority voters in general in polls — he won just 20 percent of the nonwhite vote in a recent CNN/ORC poll, 25 percent of nonwhite voters in Quinnipiac University's recent poll, and 17 percent in the recent Fox News poll.
Black voters were an important voting block for when he upset Republican in North Carolina in 2008.

Gov Fayose Orders Ekiti Citizens To Defend Themselves Against Fulani Herdsmen

Governor Ayodele Fayose has charged Ekiti state residents to get ready to defend themselves against attacks by rampaging herdsmen.
He was reacting to threats of reprisal attack by the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), an umbrella body of herdsmen who alleged that some of their cattle were killed recently.
"From the words and antecedents of the Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, it is clear that they have assurance beyond their personal minds from the federal government to kill Nigerians in place of their cows. If not, by now, the man who signed that press statement, threatening the entire people of Ekiti State ought to have been arrested and questioned.

“I am, therefore, using this opportunity to put Ekiti people, especially residents of border towns in the State on red alert. Ekiti people must be prepared to defend their land against these Philistines whose attributes and characters are extremism, violence, bloodshed and destruction.”
He also reiterated his resolve on the grazing law he signed in the state, "the Prohibition of Cattle and other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti State Bill, 2016 that was signed into law on August 29, 2016 remains in force," he said.
