Igbo Women Assembly (IWA) Set to Honour IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

The Igbo Women Assembly (IWA) foremost organisation of of Igbo are set to honour Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra with a befitting award for his resoluteness and dedication to restore Biafra.
The leader of the group, Mrs Mariah Okwor, expressed her surprise that Kanu has not betrayed the Biafran cause despite the inhuman treatment the Nigerian government has subjected him to for close to a year.
“I personally thought that Kanu will go the way of Uwazurike, but he has surprised everybody by his righteous, sincere and total comment to the struggle; we are all impressed; accordingly the IWA will honour Kanu in October for his honesty and transparent leadership, that boy is a hero”
Kanu has been receiving awards from many Biafran groups, who have endorsed him and his stance on Biafra. He was earlier this year honored with the award of Great Liberator with the power of truth, by the Igbo Youths Movement (IYM). This award was received before dignitaries and leaders of the Igbo-speaking part of Biafra. The award was giving to him based on his works and sacrifice which had catapulted Biafran to the limelights. Kanu has become the greatest man in Biafra after Ojukwu. Even while in detention, he is being revered and his message gaining wider support with leaders and people across the length and breadth of Biafra finally coming to terms with his message.
