Education and consciousness are different things. The majority of the Yoruba people is educated, but not conscious. Here is a good example why.
In 1991, the Lagos State population was put at 4.4million.
The old Kano State population, that’s (Kano and Jigawa), in 1991 was set at 4.2million.
Lagos State has the highest population in 1991.
But in 2006, Lagos State population increased from 4.4 million to 9.4million, whilst that of the old Kano State, increased from 4.2million to 15.5m (Kano 9.8m and Jigawa 5.6m).
The 2006 census was conducted under Gambari’s stooge called Mr. Obasanjo.
An educated Yoruba citizen cannot see anything amiss with the old Kano State's population increasing from 4.2 million in 1991 to 15.5 million in 2006 while that of Lagos State, the heart beat of Nigeria's commerce and industry, contributing 30% of the Nigeria's GDP, merely increasing from 4.4 million in 1991 to 9.4 million in 2006.
However, a conscious Yoruba citizen will recognize that the population figure for the old Kano State was a fraud. It was invented to take advantage of the unitary system. A system that brings all the revenues from all the regions in Nigeria to Abuja and Abuja then shared the revenues, not according to the contributions of each region, but according to the number of people in each state.
What this implies is that while Lagos State contributes the most to the revenues that go to Abuja, the old Kano State (Kano and Jigawa), gets more revenue from Abuja because it has more population than Lagos State.
Hausa/Fulani people are the most corrupt in Nigeria. The Yoruba people are the most stupid in the world.
