A FLASH BLACK: HOW NIGERIA ARMY MASSACRED BIAFRAN AT EKE-NKPOR

The incident of May 30th can never be forgotten so easily in the history of ndigbo in their quest for Biafra freedom. It is true that Ndigbo had been previously targeted and exterminated with prejudice. But it will hard to fathome the pain in flinched to them by the Nigeria army at Nkpor on the special day scheduled in remembrance of their falling Heroes where approximately 3.5 million people died in the pogrom of 1967-1970. A ccording to investigations it was reported that on the wee hours of 30th may, Nigerian army from Onitsha barrack invaded Nkpor park where the Biafrans events was scheduled to hold, before invading the park it was reported that they first stop at Nkpor junction and started shooting sporadically before moving in to nkpor park. on sighting six young men between an average of 23-29 years old, holding Biafra flag, they opened fire at them and three was said to have died instantly, while the rest five was severely wounded, the soldiers bundled them, thrown them inside their van and they was taken to an undisclosed location. Around 08:35a.m the same Nigeria army re-enforced again with about 13 patrol team vehicle shooting and harassing the residents of Nkpor and the people from different cosmopolitan who came to honor the events. This macabre shooting from men of Nigeria army were said to have demoralized the indigenous people of Biafrans as they were seen running helter scatter, scampering for safety to avoid been hit by stray bullets. the whole nkpor were turned into a war zone. But the question is what are the real motives why Nigerian army engaged non violent and defenseless citizen in a combat? The sporadic shooting from Nigeria army were said to have stopped around 09:10 am, and there was jovial hullabaloo by the indigenous people of Biafra as they regroup again and march toward the street of nkpor to continue with the day event. Little did they know it was a pre-mediated action to lure them them out and exterminate them en-mass. According to investigations the Biafrans regrouped, and were heard singing a dirge song the with the lyrics” OBIANO HOW MANY BIAFRANS WILL YOU KILL? YOU WILL KILL US TIRED”. This song was as a result of governor Willie Obiano’s activities in the killings of Biafrans peaceful protesters in the state. He instructed his DSS to shoot at sight any IPOB members seen holding any peaceful protest. this act have basically infringed on the fundamental human rights of IPOB which include right to fair hearing, freedom of speech and freedom of movement as enshrined in some relevant constitutions of the world. Further investigations reveal that on reaching Eke-NKPOR beside nkpor civic centre which is few meters away from nkpor park, men of Nigeria army, navy, police and civil defence mounted a road block with armored tank, on sighting the people of Biafrans with flags they open fire directly on them, within some few seconds , death toll was accounted to be 75, while over 200 others where severely hit by bullets. Later same day, the Nigeria armed forces were patrolling hospitals in search of wounded victims, they succedded in whisking some of the victims away, and took some of the deceased to an undisclosed location. In an effort to find the real motives behind the incidents, a top ranking military officers at Onitsha Barrack who pleaded anonymity inform one of our correspondent that the they received order from above to engage any body holding events, or peaceful protest in the name of Biafra. When asked if Buratai, and Solomon Arase are not afraid of been dragged before the international criminal court for prosecution, he laughed and asserted ‘ who are the ICC?’ offcourse this is Nigeria, we the Nigeria military under the command of president Buhari is not afraid of ICC.
However, today been 15th july Late Comrade Ifeanyichukwu AKA (AWARA) a Biafra activist who pertake in the 30th may protest but was shot dead by Nigeria combined forces will be layed to rest today at his home town in Abia State.
